About WonderloopUPDATE: Why's the site gone slighty mucked up?Blame IE. To make the site bareable in IE, I had to sacrafice the perfection when viewed in FirefoxWhy?One day I got bored and realised the start of Wonderwall (The Oasis version, not the terible Ryan Adams version) was repetative. Not just the same tune, but same octave, same volume, everything. So I got out Audacity and found a 5 second clip that looped perfectly. Once I'd done that I saved it. Now came the hard bit. How?After I'd obtained the clip, I needed to save it in a format that would loop seamlessly and would be easily embeded in a webpage. MP3 leaves a small silence at the end so that was out, OGG or FLAC would have been my 1st pick but not everyone has a plugin to play them. I eventualy exported as WAV. So far so good, WAV loops seamlessly using the quicktime plugin....... ah what about Linux :(After ages messing around with different file formats in JW Player I gave up and just made a .swf (Flash) file thats only purpose is to play a 5 second sound clip. Which Browsers are Supported?Technicaly any browser with Flash 7 or higher will work, the page may not display propperly though in some browsers :(Wonderloop has been tested on:
How long is each audio file?Wonderloop - 5.5 secondsClocks - 7 seconds Chelsey Dagger - 12.5 seconds In My Place - 3.25 seconds Sandstorm - 7 seconds Helicopter - 3 seconds Ghostbusters - 4 seconds Whole lotta love - 5.5 seconds |
